Foundry Facts
Vestal Manufacturing is extremely proud of its modern gray iron foundry and steel fabrication plants. Our skilled and experienced technicians are dedicated to producing quality castings that meet your specifications.
- Melting is accomplished in three 15-ton coreless furnaces with a 30-ton channel furnace for duplexing.
- Daily capacity exceeds 120 tons.
- A fully automated FBO-III Sinto 20"x26" molding machine and handling system that produces casting with unmatched quality.
- An automated Herman Moldmaster cope and drag machine offers a flask size of 34" x 44" can accept a wide variety of casting configurations.
- An automated International cope and drag machine offers a flask size of 34" x 54" and can accept a wide variety of casting configurations.
- An automated Pangborn shot blast cleaning system processes eight tons of castings per hour.
- During the entire process, lab checks are made on metal and casting sand to assure high quality finished products.
